Passion Fruit from the Domaines de la Taste

Passion fruit: a delicious Corsican sweet treat

Discover our passion fruit, or Maracudja, carefully grown on our family farm in Corsica. This round fruit, with its beautiful red-purple colour, hides a juicy and fragrant yellow to orange pulp, sprinkled with edible seeds. Its sweet and tangy taste makes it a perfect ingredient for your juices, desserts and exotic dishes.

A treasure trove of flavours, hand-picked

Grown with care, without chemical treatments or pesticides, thus guaranteeing a pure and authentic taste, each fruit is hand-picked from the tree, ready to be shipped directly to your home. By working with nature, we ensure that each fruit is unique, both in appearance and size.

Innovation and ecology: a unique fruit on Corsican soil

At Domaine de la Taste, we are passionate about innovation. We regularly challenge ourselves to develop and diversify our farm. Currently, we are exploring new horizons by dedicating several hectares of land to experimental cultivation of exotic fruits such as mangoes, lychees and of course, our passion fruit.

We use sustainable farming practices to minimize our impact on the environment and preserve local biodiversity. Passion fruit, adapted to our exceptional climate, testifies to our commitment to respectful and eco-responsible agriculture.

The objective is therefore to test the compatibility of our Mediterranean climate and our soils to grow and ripen naturally these varieties of fruit from elsewhere. Choosing our passion fruit means supporting a family farm that defends the values of sustainable agriculture, while participating in an innovative adventure!

    Frequently Asked Questions

Passion fruit is a treasure trove of health benefits. Rich in vitamins A and C, they support the immune system and promote skin health. They are also an excellent source of fiber, which helps with digestion and promotes a feeling of fullness. Plus, their low calorie intake makes them a great choice for those who are watching their weight. The antioxidants found in the fruit help fight oxidative stress, reducing the risk of chronic diseases.

In Corsica, the passion fruit season runs from June to September. During this time, you can enjoy their freshness and delicious taste, as they reach their optimal ripeness in a Mediterranean climate that is favorable to them.

To choose a ripe passion fruit, look for well-colored skin, which can range from purple to yellow. The skin should be slightly wrinkled, a sign that the fruit is ripe and ready to eat. Avoid fruits with dark spots or smooth skin, as this may indicate that they are not yet ripe. When you gently squeeze it, the fruit should yield slightly, indicating that it is juicy and ready to enjoy.
